On 4/11 one of the Russian companies charged with interfering in the election notified Mueller and Judge Dabney Friedrich of the U.S. District Court in Washington that they had retained counsel. I was surprised, a lot of people were surprised, and it looks like Mueller has about shit his pants. The defense immediately requested documents from the prosecution, which is how these things go 100% of the time for the last few hundred years. Like most defense attorneys they are asking the prosecution to show what they have to back up their claim. That's it.
One of the Mueller's attorneys comes up with a horribly lame excuse about why they need a stay. I think he has been caught with his pants down in a scenario he never imagined.
The ONLY entities charged in the so-called "Russia" investigation with something having to do with the election want some production of documents and to move the plot forward, and Mueller is saying no. The prosecution has taken to telling every court in which they play the rules of engagement as defined by Mueller and his posse, they ignore their own time honored procedures, they make up shit as they go along, and wipe their asses with the federal rules of evidence, and they tell court and opposing counsel that their is no need for them to produce anything at all because "just trust us". The court told his team to fuck off and get moving.

Of course there is no way in hell Mueller will go after the Russians. Maybe he doesn't have a case, maybe he implicates people he doesn't want to injure, maybe he made a gambit he now regrets, who knows... but I have said since the day he charged the Ruskies that he never had any intention of going after Russians because an indictment is the worst possible way in the world to do that. You don't conduct anti-espionage in federal court. I never expected to hear a peep about this again, but this Russian company has surfaced in court.
Since being told things are going to proceed sometime last night I have been waiting for Mueller's real response and how he is going to get out of it... low and behold he is going to do it by taking the high road. This is a Comey-esque play. I didn't post the original article in the WSJ as it requires a subscription.

As of now Wednesday's arraignment is on the docket. Any way it goes, I can't wait
