I was looking at the CTD catalog and noticed the 308 belted ammo with no powder or primers. It does have a bullet (fmj) but would it be possible to buy a 100 round belt for $30 pull the bullet, prime and charge brass, seat bullet and would they fire properly? If they do you could get brass and bullets for 100 rounds for $30. I would guess that the bullet is the 147g but hell it's cheaper than dirt. Just a thought.

If it is specifically made to be inert, the brass case is usually very thin and is not to be fired. The bullet might be real, but the brass is probably not an actual usable case.
