I know of a real one (M1D) for sale on consignment at a local dealer by me. If you want the info contact me, and I'll foward it to you. Oh yeah the guy wants $4,000 for it. It comes with full documentation on the piece.

Check out some of Peter R. Senich's books:

The Pictorial History of Snipeing
Limited War Sniping
Long Range War, Sniping in Vietnam

All three have excellant discriptions of the M1C/D sniping systems. All the varients, scopes and mountss.

When I first started running sniper schools for the National Guard we were using M1C/Ds. My armorer used these books to help him with the maintance on the weapons.
