Need a little info on a Remington bolt rifle I came across yesterday. Its a stainless Model 7 XCR in .308 with a fluted 20" barrel and camo synthetic stock. The barrel looks similar to the fluted barrels on an LTR, but I am not sure if its the same. Anyone have any information on these guns? I am looking for a 20" .308 for field/bench work, and this one should work great.
How do these rifles compare with an LTR? Are the XCR stocks worth keeping, or will I need to replace it with something a little more solid?
