Looking at weibad fortune cookie or tater tot canvas bag. Will be a used as all around bag for range, hunting and what ever else. I shoot bench with bipod, prone with bipod, hunting blind ground blind etc etc. Whats the size difference between the fortune cookie and tater tot. Does one outweigh the other due to size. If anyone has used both as rear support which one do you prefer. Which ever way I go it will be heavy fill.

Both sizes will serve you well. It’s mainly a matter of preference to most shooters using them positional or as a rear bag. I would venture to say the tater tot is more popular due to more magazine clearance and a larger surface area to stable your rifle. That’s being said, I have both and like them both. For rear support, I give a slight nod to the tater tot.

FORTUNE COOKIE PRODUCT SELECTION TOOL

With multiple sizes an weights, we know it can be confusing selecting the right Fortune Cookie for your needs. Use the Fortune Cookie Product Selection Tool to see various sizes and weights side by side.

If you’re competing the tater tot is the most appropriate choice.
Otherwise the mini is nice and saves a bit of weight, it’s just that when it’s on the side it can’t keep an aics mag off a flat prop, thus the extra width of the tater tot.
Glassfill is the new hotness, just a smidge lighter than the heavy sand fill, it’s still heavy.
If you are going to be hiking and lugging it around then get the normal fill, for prs get sand or glass.

I have a regular and a mini - for range I like the regular and for hunting I like the mini if I’m carrying it in. Always looking for good deals on used ones to just leave in my blinds so I don’t have to carry them at all.

The Tater Tot is a Mini Fortune Cookie which is wider. Same side panels, but wider body strip. It wraps up and around the stock a little more than the MFC when laying mouth down, and the TT offers a little taller height to fill obstacle gaps a little more than the MFC.

Personally, I carry a pellet fill MFC when hunting - spexlite is better - my son uses a spexlite for PRS and hunting. I use a heavy sand filled MFC and a Glass filled MFC for PRS. For me, the Tater Tot is just heavier.

I picked up a tater tot from a member on this forum. I love it so far and looking to try a few different fills to see what works bst gor what I need. Thank you to everyone who posted info and what works best for them. Range time this Sunday n Monday after a rest day/teloading on Saturday. Hope evryone has a great weekend
