Information on mechanical rifle accuracy machines

I am not sure what forum to ask this question. I am interested in rifle accuracy testing machines used by the military. For example, a picture of a Mann machine rest is shown in Hatchers Notebook. I have been told that the Army Marksmanship Unit has a machine called "the sled." Does anyone have any information on such a unit?

It's just something to hold the rifle still, and ensure it recoils the same every time. Something like this:

Universal Receiver.

They are used by ammunition manufacturers, bullet makers, armor makers, etc... Not cheap, very few people make them anymore.
