Had a minute to shoot a few rounds of Mike and Zach's new 243 loaded with the 115 gn DTACs. It's in Winchester brass.

Conditions
63 degrees, 20-30 mph full value wind

Rifle
Surgeon 591, Krieger 1 in 7.5 twist
26.5 inch barrel

Chrono info not available because buddy with the chrono didn't show. Hopefully can revisit this soon to get sd and velocity data.

Left targets show two 3 shot groups at 100 yds, rt is a five shot group at 264 yds. Will go stretch it out later.

As Always with SW ammo, this is a very nice, accurate option if you don't want to reload or need a few rounds in a pinch.

Better pics of 100 yard groups seen here.

Great results. I tried some in one of my GAP 243's but that particular rifle did not like it. Shot around 1-1/4" at 100 yards. I'm going to try it in the other one as they have different barrel manufacturers. I've tried some of SW Ammo's 308 and 223 loads and they all were very accurate in the rifles I tested them in.

That ammo may be super good and say what you want about the rifle, but to me it's all shooter. with that posted wind, at full value, at those ranges! your not given yourself enough credit. I cant wait till i have the ability to learn see/feel those changes in the wind. i have shot a little high power (NRA) in the past and your cleaning a NRA SR3 target with all X's with no problem. I know this web site deals with tactical shooting but you should at least consider competing in NRA high power as i think you would do very well. don't be fooled by by the open sights as you can except your wobble easier than with a scoped rifle. it is really all about the wind, and that you have mastered quite well.
