Inlet to deep

I just got a badger 2008 in Aics chassis and I have found that the inlet was cut to deep into the chassis and now the mag won't lock in. I am wondering if I can put a spacer between the chassis and the action that will still allow the lugs to be seated in the inlet? I am thinking something like a thick washer?

Any input helps

why dont you just remove some material off the mag catch?

I guess I over think everything. Pulled out the dremel and it worked perfect

happy to help, I had to do the same thing to mine
