i saw an m5 dbm on stocky stocks, it is not the drop in like the wyatts system it says its like the badger ordnance only improved a lil. it says the stock will need inletting and also comes with the aluminum pillars. i have acces to a mill but need to know how its done. as far as pillar height etc. will i need to remove the existing pillars on the b&C medalist stock? or what? not really sure. as far as inletting i think i can figure that out. drawings and pictures are very welcomed. or if there is a smith in the wichita ks area who does this let me know.

You might get more response in the gunsmithing forum.

I just recently did one of these on an HS Precision stock and by the time I bought the 3 carbide burrs I needed (two 2-flute aluminum burrs and a 1/8 inch burr for the corners), built a jig to support the bedding area, and did all the hand work with the dremmel, I wish I'd just sent it off to Badger.

I also have a Medalist stock, and am wondering what is the easiest DBM system to go with...and whether I should consider using a local smith to do it or just send my stock to Badger or whoever.

Re: installing a DBM questions

i emailed badger and it sounds like they will charge 75 if its their system and 150 if its not. i just dont want to wait. id like to get it done asap. 150 seems a lil high also, since the mag system is 200. but if i dont have another option i guess i will have to do it
