Installing muzzle break on 20" bbl?

I have a 700 SPS Tac with the 20" bbl and would like to install a muzzle break. I think it would make it easier to keep a line of sight through the shot and allow me to see hits and misses better.

What is the process of having a barrel threaded for a MB? Do you lose any effective length when doing so? It's only a 20" barrel and I'd like to be able to use all 20" of it.

If that's the case, is a clamp on brake GTG like the Roedale Precision?

A 20" barrel can be threaded for a brake without losing inches.

No need to loose any appreciable length. Maybe a few thou to touch up the crown.
