Does anyone have an insurance policy on their scopes to cover theft, breakage etc?

I know most decent manufacturers have repair centers but what if that option is suddenly not available to you? Company gets bought out, goes bust, ceases to honor warranty etc - whatever the cause, it's not important, - just want to know if there's an insurance provider that will cover this type of equipment.

If there is can you provide details of the insurance company please.

Many thanks

Re: Insurance on a scope?

Regarding theft I had a ryder on my renters ins with USAA when I lived in an appartment it covered my rifle and scope at the time which was valued at 10K. The cost was an additional 5 bucks a month.

Now I just have a big ass fire rated safe bolted down.

As for coverage due to breakage most top makers stand behind their products unless you just do something completly dumb.

Mine are all on rifles that are scheduled. The standard for a membership is $1000. I pay for the extra and it's more for when I fly than anything else.
