Integral vs pinned rails on Actions

I’m deciding on two Defiance actions: the Ruckus or the Tenacity.

For my uses the only difference I’m seeing is that the Ruckus has a integral rail. Which is appealing to me.

However, has anyone had any real issues with pinned top rails? Especially on the Tenacity action? I know it’s quality and with proper torque, will I notice a difference with only shooting prone and not tossing my rifle down a hill?

I’ve searched and can’t find much on people comparing them. Sorry if it’s been discussed a lot.

they both perform flawlessly you will most likely never notice a difference especially not for general shooting. If you're the type of person to worry about needing your rifle after you throw it off a cliff get the integral otherwise I would not spend the money personally.

With today’s machining technology and tolerance from custom action manufactures, no need to worry about the difference. I’ve removed the pinned rail from my Origin several time without an POI shift. Same with a pinned recoil lug.

You don’t see people talking about the difference because there really is none to average shooter and even comp shooter. It’s just personal preference.

Phil at MPA had an interesting opinion on a podcast.

He prefers non integral rail non integral lug actions that are round bottom. Because it’s more concentric and sits in V beds in chassis better. Less chance you need to bed the action vs actions that aren’t turned like that.
