Cadex is offering a couple things new in the rifle area.
First is a newly designed "entry level" rifle in the reintroduced R7 Sheepdog EVO. Priced in the mid to low $3,000s, this rifle is available in a number of calibers, including .308, .300 WM, 6.5CM, .260 and others. Cadex is producing buttoned rifle barrels with Unisig blanks to produce very nice results, and keeping the cost down. This is Cadex quality with a solid chassis, without all the costs of a Bartlein rifle cut barrel. I am pretty excited at this, and after spending time in December at the factory, this is a solid product. Pretty impressive.
Next, while not a new rifle, is the answer to what has been a delivery problem in 2019. Cadex has identified the most popular rifle configurations, and is building out custom precision barreled uppers in the FAST TRACK program to have some on hand and ready to bed to a chassis. The barreled uppers in the FAST TRACK program will be black, and then the chassis prepared to your design and color selection, painted and assembled. By keeping a two-tone (black and colored chasssis), this will also speed up the process. Last year, custom precision rifles were taking 4 to 6 months. Cadex is hoping to speed that up for FAST TRACK to 2 to 4 months.
If anyone is interested in learning more, give me a call. The more I learn about Cadex, the more impressed I am with their products, their design and their production quality.
