Great article! I saw army jerry post on a thread the other day that everyone should watch Jericho, the series. I think you will see this somewhat true to life scenario! Very good series! Thanks AJ!
I think if anything the article vastly understates how bad things will get if it really kicks off.
I also think people don't understand how much the enemies of America and freedom are working to make it happen.
There is not going to be as much straight battles as there will be constant roving death squads, sappers & protection squads.
There won't be any "Civilian bystanders", families, women, children will all have to fight kill or be killed or both.
Those in the LE and Mil side that think they might go along with orders & see how it goes, may find that while they are out doing the bidding of the communists, their houses, families and neighborhoods are being eliminated by those fighting the communists at all costs.
Pretty much anything infrastructure wise that can be destroyed will have somebody trying to destroy it & anything connected to the internet will have every hacker trying to break in and wipe everything or get all the information they can (both foreign and domestic, both state sponsored and privateer).
There is going to be a whole lot of killing on sight and asking questions never.
From the side of the enemies of America and freedom, from known actors like China, Russia, NK, Iran, Brussels to other groups bound by ideology not nationality there is a huge advantage to be gained.
Imagine how history would have changed if right before WWII kicked off, the Germans and the Japanese had managed to get America to have civil war II raging for several years. By the time the civil war got done the Germans & the Japanese would have ruled the world and been able to force the now rebuilding America to accept the new order of America as the last free country in the world & all the rest under Axis control.
Let's say China wants to move up to number 1 or 2 world power or at least take over the pacific & make it theirs instead of ours.
Well if we are busy killing each other off for several years and getting our infrastructure totally crushed, who is going to stop them?
Let's say Russia wants to put the pesky snotty Europeans in their place and the USA happens to be out of the picture for years, well there is nobody going to stop them from rolling on in and doing as they please.
Let's say you are one of the EU/Brussels one world government under the EU/UN believers who wants a new world order where the Bureaucrats of the EU/UN decide everything and control the money etc. With the USA out of the picture in a big way for half to a whole decade, you can change the world reserve currency to Brussels controlled Euros, then leverage that to make a new world currency order and all the political power that goes with it (which we currently enjoy).
While a lot of the rumbling boil is organic, I would suggest that it would be short sighted to not take into account that there may be many other influences, stoking the discontent, adding fuel to the fire & hoping to help kick start a conflagration for their own ends.

I believe the split would be different. I have always said enemy's across would jump for joy while an try to use a CW here to their advantage, we would to if the shoe was on the other foot. However I see it happening different, I see the military being used at first but then being drawn away to fight other country's who are now nothing but opportunist. Leaving LE to deal with the issue, which will not turn out well for them at all. Yes the grid will die quickly as knowning which transformers are not shelf items an having a led time of close to or over a year from raw material to ready to ship. Those puppys well drop like flys real quick once their description is known. Food has to travel past country folk to get to libtard city's. Then you have very water lines an their pumps going tits up quickly. Not many folks will what to drive a slow moving backhoe to fix a line or pull a pump while being the local bullet magnate. Many in LE will be tied up covering these do gooders which is safer for them anyway than kicking a none compliance vets door.

Holy crap I agree with the first sentence above. And there are many reasons for it.
I echo the second sentence above because I have seen it. The topic of undoing America is outright fashionable well beyond academia, where for decades was the only place the idea of dismantling the COTUS was widely and openly promoted.
One point I vehemently disagree with Bracken on is the broad diagnosis of Dunning-Kruger. I think he goes too far and is too dismissive. While I agree that this may be applied to the average Democratic voter (or most of Los Angeles or Bedford-Stuyvesant...) and many of those squatting on Capitol Hill, it does not apply to a large number of Democratic strategists. As much as Alinksy may be reviled, does anyone really think he was dumb? I hope not.
The list is long (Robert Gibbs, David Plouffe, Jonathan Tasini, Robby Mook...) and their reach is far (Fortune 500, all manner of media, a community near you), and at their core, like Alinksy, is the ability to organize and direct desperate hordes of troglodytes.
Do not think for a moment that some of these folks are not adaptable. Underestimating them is a mistake. Plan accordingly.
