Hi Guys -
I hope this is the right part of the forum for this topic. Recently, I purchased my first M2008 from Badger. Naturally, I began to think about coatings/treatments/finishes for this tank of an action. After a bit of research here on the 'Hide and elsewhere,I decided to go with Ionbond. This is a tough as nails treatment that is only a few microns thick. It is applied via PVD at low temperature.
After looking at my options for how to get this done, I turned to Springer Precision in Bend, Oregon. I am glad I did. The folks at Springer Precision had top notch customer service. The turnaround time was as promised, and I have no problem recommending their services.
Upon receiving the action back, I am impressed. The finish is a beautiful matte black and smooth as silk. It covers the metal evenly, and does not "gather up" in corners and recesses.
I am no photographer, but I have included some photos so you can judge for yourself.
