does anyone have any pics of the IOR 3-18x42 on an AR10 or AR15? Scott, do you have any reticle pics of the 3-18? Ive seen some but the ones that are pointed at a targer have the magnification is turned all the way up.

Since the 3-18 has 22 MILS of travel (80"), which is 11 mils (40") up and 11 mils down (40") down. Adding a 23 moa base you would have 17.4 mils (63") up and 4.6 mils (17") down.

Will 63" get you to 1k? Yes, but not really well with a 168 gr bullet, which will go sub-sonic just north of 900 yds.

While the numbers (math) are logical, this is theoretical. In practice, on a flat-top, I expect you to have much less than 63moa of up travel. You won't start out zeroing at 100 yards with the reticle centered. Bottom line - it will be close...

Lowlight had one of the Gen 1. I have purposely avoided calling it the "SH" version as to not step on the Commandante's toes...
