I have an IOR that is only a couple months old. It is the 3-18x42 the newest generation. I went to shoot today and I looked though my scope and the reticle is now canted about 15 degrees. Anyone else had this problem.

Re: IOR Reticle Canted

Never had that problem...but on the only IOR I have ever had (and the only one I will EVER have), I did have the internals fall apart when I tried to re-zero the turrets after zeroing the scope.

It had a similar arrangement to vintage Zeiss scopes where you loosen off three screws (although if I remember the IOR correctly it was two) in the top of the turret to free the drum.

I loosened off the screws 1/4 to 1/2 a turn as per the manual and they came away completely from the internal thread and neither I nor IOR service could get them hooked up again.

I got my money back under warranty - wild horses would not drag me back to another IOR. The internals SUCK!

I hope you get your reticule sorted........

Yeah, I have one of their older ones. It's two screws in the turret kind of like an svd scope. Mine did the same to me once, I removed the screws to reset it and the drum still spun; I put them back in, turned it a couple clicks up and down, and then tried again and it worked fine. I have no idea why the hell it did that though.

Re: IOR Reticle Canted

If I could get it replaced in 2 weeks, I would be thrilled. I am going to ship it off Monday. I really like the scope, so hopefully this will be the end of the problems.

Just make sure to put a note in the box about what's wrong with it along with your name, phone number and shipping address. FWIW my replacement took 8 calendar days.
