Rifle Scopes IOR warranty policy

Re: IOR warranty policy

Sorry guys, I poked around late last night and couldn't find anything but just now I looked again and found it right in their FAQ

For anyone wondering, the warranty follows the scope as long as the paperwork does but does not cover user abuse.

Re: IOR warranty policy

I first purchased my 3-18 and it came with no paperwork to fill out or send in and IOR replaced my 3-18 with a new one when I sent it into them for warranty.

The new replacement 3-18 that I got from them came with no warranty papers either.

My best advice is to call Valdada directly for options.

I also have an old 6-24x50 30mm tube that the parallax doesnt work in. For that scope I just called Val and he said I can send it in for a trade in on a new 6-24x50 35mm and I need to pay the difference which was around $600 or so. The trade in is because Valdada doesn't make the 30mm 6-24 anymore.

I've never sent in any papers or warranty registration or anything in order for Valdada to honor their "limited lifetime" warranty. Maybe their newest scopes ship with these papers I'm not sure. I do know the two IOR's I had never had any papers other than instructions and such.

Re: IOR warranty policy

I don't think the paperwork is all that important. I spoke with Val after receiving my ffp 3-18x42 replacement a couple of weeks ago. Reason being is I sent all my paperwork in, but didn't receive any in return with the replacement. He said not to worry it wasn't necessary to send it in in the first place.

No issues as I don't own one. I've been contemplating buying a used second generation 3-18x42 FFP and wanted to be sure it would be covered if it crapped out.

Same here.

I say if the scope has the features you want at a price you're comfy with... then get it. If, just IF that scope were to "crap" out, I'm sure Valdada will take care of you as I see no reason for them not to. Hope this helps.

Re: IOR warranty policy

Very helpful as usual.

Thanks everyone.

I've read a few threads on the scope mentioned but if anyone has had any more recent experiences/issues with them I'd appreciate hearing about it. My main concern relates to the limited eye relief and availability of a rearward extended base for a savage short action.
