Guys,

I don’t know how this is possible as it’s on a safe queen, but I killed my ATACR. I’ve checked with 5 2032 batteries, but my illumination is toast.

Anyone else have this issue previously? I’ve owned NF, Leupold, Trijicon,Vortex, Steiner, and I’ve never had to call for warranty (I’m doing it tomorrow).

Unfortunately it can happen with any scope, I try to take the batteries out on some of my more expensive optics that are not used for defensive purposes to keep from the horror stories of leaking batteries that I've seen over the years. - Richard

Wild thing is that I bought it six months ago, didn’t even change the battery yet!

A guy on another forum had his illumination fail on his 1-8 ATACR as well. If you look at the battery compartment on the commercial ATACR vs the military ATACR, they are different. I think the military ATACR has a more rugged electronics package.

Are you worried it won't be covered by warranty?... Just call them they will fix it. no big deal... that's why we check our gear before using it.

Did you get any word back from NF on this?

Nightforce is perfection

Nightforce doesn’t have failures. They have user error
I decided to mess around with it again. After re-securing two screws with from an eyeglass repair kit screw driver. I got it to illuminate again. Crisis averted. I don’t know how it got knocked loose, but no issues to report after two range sessions.
