I know what is on the news lol. Egyptian goverment just "approved" the transit not but a few hours ago. The ball is back in Irans court whether or not they now proceed. What the news showed yesterday was pretty much for lack of better terms RETARDED. Iran had just submitted the paperwork to even get approval yesterday then the news claimed it was happening.
Transiting the Suez is not just something that can be done by firing up your ship and cruising along.
Israel has its fleet on standby at "their" water zones lol and pilots at the military base right North of Haifa are sitting in their jets on "rotation" while others fly patterns.

This is what Likud Knesset Member Danny Danon said about the ships when he was giving his speech that "We have to understand that if, God forbid, we will be in the case of trouble, we can trust only ourselves because we see a lack of leadership coming from the U.S. today"
"Iranians are looking to get involved in the Middle East and they are sending a signal. So those boats are a signal to us and to the larger society that we need to wake up because if we will not deal with the threats of Iran, Iran will deal with us.
Danon said that in the decision of one minute Israel "can take care of those boats."
Funny how after that speech was aired Internationally that the USA stance was this:

Also as a side note: The US can actually board and search both of those Iranian ships via UN Resolution before entering the Suez and if said boarding was not allowed then can actually STOP the entering into the Canal.
