IRGC Quds Force Leader killed in airstrike @ Baghad Int

Look Suleimani, there's an aeroplane up in the sky
Ooh
Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the
Promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue
Sky?
Ooh
Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
The flames are all long gone, but the pain lingers on
Goodbye, blue sky
Goodbye, blue sky
Goodbye
Goodbye

Resume for CNN, MSNBC, Times.........

This one is more up to date...

The Iranians just put an $80M bounty out for Trump's head. Plus, the Iraqi "Parliament" voted the US out of their country. What could go wrong ?
Actually, I do take it somewhat seriously. Too many "Brutus's" in too many dimly lit corners.............Particularly in DC.

From 2012 but uncanny how his description of a theoretical conservative president should act against Iranian aggression. It’s all good, but start at 6:50 for embassy stuff.

Iraq Parliament just passed resolution calling for US Troops to get out of Iraq.

There's gratitude for ya....

IMHO, the whole point is about Iran getting oil assets outside their own border.

While we're leaving, we should destroy all Iraqi oil assets, ala Saddam. Don't just blow up the surface stuff, hit each well with a bunker buster. Let's see if Iran's faded economy can afford to restore it all to operational status, like we did.

It's a non-binding resolution. A vote just for show. Kinda like when Republicans voted to end obama care while obama was in office, but once Trump was there, they just couldn't do the same thing for some odd reason....

These two writers, the few writers here are (I’m presuming) intimately studied, versed, trained, invested, and operative in the fields (probably literally) they speak of... it doesn't get much closer than this to the material at hand. They write sporadically probably out of necessity from operating in their fields of expertise, I'd venture. But, with knowledgeable respect...Eliminate the salute....but a definite nod of recognition.

More like...a depth of understanding, real world...though it does NOT dampen or change necessity of actions.

And I would eliminate the word “salute”...I HAVE to say.

I understand/understood the part about a nonbinding resolution. Apparently the Iranian influence has gotten control of the parliament.

I just don't think the Iraqis shouldn't be trusted with anything as valuable as a burnt match, let alone various oilfields.

Since when in hell has Iraq and Iran been friends?

Last Iraqi I talked to told me to pass the word to our leaders that we need to blow up Iran all of it.

All the lives , money and time spent in Iraq gone to waste now?

Believe he ran the operation whereby they laundered drug money and facilitated drug trade in the US by circling the cash through the acquisition and sales of our used cars.

Actually pretty ingenious.

Ive been to an auto auction. Obi Wan Kenobies description of no greater den of wretched characters and villainy is appropriate.

Everything is done in cash and most of the cars bought are containerized and shipped to Africa and the middle east within hours of the auction closing.

The place smelled of wholesale criminal activity in plain view.

Also, none of the Sunni or Kurdish showed up for the vote, in protest to the resolution.

Who would have thought the democrats would be running defense for the FBI and CIA?
Who would have thought humans with dicks would be thought of literally chicks?

Its a strange world.

Thankfully there was a fire extinguisher handy.

AR would have shrugged it off and been ready to fire back.

It's about tribes, 2 of them are outnumbered and pulled a no show on the vote.
History all about the history

All US Embassy's should have loudspeakers all around them. Then if attacked play a tape of squealing goats...while the all the attackers are beating off, the Marines just shoot them one by one. Simple, don't over complicate this stuff. :)

Hi,

And just like that....Iraq desires finally come to light...they want the USA out and look who is meeting right this very minute (disclaimer...actually 34 minutes ago) to step in.

Imho:

This may not be all bad.
The U.S.can pull out all troops and support and let China move in.

Then introduce propaganda on how China treats their Muslim population while funding the insurgents that will revolt against Chinese occupation.

China’s economy is in decline. I am sure we can help speed that decline and the Middle East will be nothing but a money sink for them.

True China does need the oil and it would be a strategic move for them, but at what cost?

Looking forward to hear others views on this.

I don't think it would end well. China is our number one enemy.

True but...

They have zero experience in anything like that.

Iraqis will not respond like internal China.

How is China going to handle ieds?

Would it not be cheaper for the us to fund an insurgent movement compared to an occupying force?

I have no idea.

The Middle East has always been one ongoing war of one kind or another.

Russia didn’t stop it and neither did the us.
