i have a swfa 20x. i ordered a nf base. the base i ordered was a 20moa and today a 40moa showed up. it there enough travel in the scope or do i need to return it for a 20moa?

Re: is 40 moa ok or too much

It's probably too much for a 100 yard zero.

Re: is 40 moa ok or too much

Might be close. I have a 20MOA base but I still have 40 MOA not used on my Nightforce 5.5x22 (surgeon .260) might be perfect.

What's it going on. My 338LM had to have 40moa with NF 5.5-22. If your planning to shoot long range you could do a 200 zero

Re: is 40 moa ok or too much

If you already have the scope, it's pretty easy to figure out. Turn the elevation turret all the way down and then count the # of minutes the turret goes up. If you have more than 80 moa up, then the 40 moa base will work.
