I prefer and think that keymod is superior to Mlok [ positioning and strength]. Recently read a review on TTAB guns that announced that keymod was dead. Is this a war between beta and vhs? Is there a market for both?

Thanks for the link. My quick read tells me it was the rail failure. I don't think that I will have a problem with either as I don't drop my guns five times on a steel plate very often. I have both and dislike having to buy two mounting systems. I even have both on the same rifle which annoys my OCD!
Cost and training of correct installation is at odds with each other. I think that a long term field testing would be more appropriate.

I still find it hard to take a test serious that used Midwest Industries and Aero Precsion for hard use test ?
I’ve used both and beat on both- actually probably have beat up on my keymod handgurds more because I’ve owned keymod longer. They both have held up fine and would have no issues using either or.
I'll lean to the side of quantifiable data gathered by a weapons testing facility over internet opinions .
Just because something isn't the flavor of the month in AR manufacturer's doesn't make it a bad product , most of the AR parts are made by a few companies and are rebranded and sold by others .
