I believe some of those massive fires in Australia last year were the work of something like 20+ people setting fires intentionally. I could definitely see that tactic happening out here.
For reference I was on a type-1 handcrew (hotshot crew) out in south central Oregon for several years. Most fires on a given year are human caused. Most figures put the number at aroun 90%. That includes arson and stupidity (campfires, dragging trailer chains, etc.). One year we were fighting a fire at Crater Lake NP and someone decided to drive down the road tossing flares out every mile or so. The point being, riots or not, people are going to start fires. Could Antifa or BLM supporters be starting wildfires? Maybe, but it doesn't seem to be their M.O. and even if so, it wouldn't make much of a difference as there are plenty of arsonists and dumbasses to create the vast majority of wildfires.

The fires here in Napa were definitely the result of a huge lightning storm. The fires in NorCal a few years ago all started in different locations around the same time on Columbus Day. Think about that one.
