I have the opportunity to buy a Remington 700 sps .270wsm with a hs precision stock and a timney trigger, only about 3 years old with about 300 shots through it, guy is asking $550.

Factory ammo? Do you like that caliber? If he had reloads, I wouldn't use them or touch the rifle, unless I really knew the guy.

I'm not a 270WSM fan but I'd buy it for the stock and trigger alone. You can get $400 no problem for a WSM action, more if it's SS. at that point you've got $150 tied up in a timney trigger, bottom metal, and HS precision stock.

Never had factory ammo shot through it, he does all his own reloading

If he is good at it, I'd get it, there are quite a few nice things on it. It is a different caliber that I don't really follow much, but I have killed quite a few animals over the years with a 270.

He still has the original stock and trigger, thinking of using the timney for my sendero, putting old stock back on and saving the precising stock
