Gunsmithing Is the PTG throating reamer a good idea?

I have finish Chamber reamer allready For 7mm WSM Match with .088 freebore. The reamer also was available for a long action with .188 free bore. If I decide to do a Long action is the PTG throater a good way to go and have some depth variation if I so decide. Also, are they used on the lathe or does the collar/bushing and reamer pilot guide the reamer. They asked me if I needed the tap handle with it so I assume that it is to be done by hand with the micro stop on it.

It can be done by hand or in a lathe - since very little is being removed - hand works very well.

Definitely use the stop - PTG has a nice setup for doing this. Be sure to get all the chips out after cutting.
