Im looking at some Remington 700 VLS rifles...I was wondering are they factory glass bedded or does the factory laminate stock have aluminum bedding blocks in it?

No and No.
Wouldn't be too hard to glass bed.
Acra-glas kit at brownells.
Might want to consider adding pillars if the stock doesn't already have them

They have a good stiff stock and the wide foreend is a plus. fdkay is on the money with his advice. Get a small pkg of Accraglas or Marinetex, do some reading on glassbedding(see the "Gunsmithing" section) and go to work.

Find the "Stress Free Bedding" article over on Accurate Shooter.com Thats what I followed when I bedded my vls, turned out great.
