Background I have a Compass Lake upper chambered with Frank's chamber. My load is 77 SMK, Lapua brass, Rem 7 1/2 primer, and 24grains Reloder 15. I full length resize the brass using a Redding S die that has had the neck custom reamed at the factory to 0.246.

After each firing I prefer to bump the shoulder back 0.001. As the number of firings on the brass increases I need to re-adjust the die down to get the 0.001 bump (the brass is continually being work hardened). That means loosening up the lock ring, rotating it a smidgen, and re-tightening.

Edit: I am using the Forster Co-Ax press where the dies snap in/out

Question Is this how everybody else achieves the proper amount of shoulder bump? There has to be an easier and better method that does not require loosening the lock ring. Please advise...
