I looked at lots of videos from “The Late Night Vision Show” on YouTube when I bought mine. They’ll do shows on optics as they come out. Everything from low to high end. They shoot hogs for a while before doing the reviews

This is exactly what I would do. Especially in questionable areas with yotes. Pig hunting would be all thermal. A NV clip on and thermal scanner would be my choice
I have a Bering R35. But I barely use it. Mostly scan and used for tracking downed deer more than anything
