I'm going to buy a terripin in the near future and wondering if they are fixing to come out with a new model. With my luck just after I buy one they will upgrade it with features I want and lower the price of the old model.

Pick it up asap.....you won't regret it.

When I bought a Vector IV nine years ago, one of my pals said he would wait for an improved, smaller and less expensive model came out. He's still waiting.

There's presently no real market incentive. Maybe Big Jim Fish will stir the pot a bit.

That's odd, as the Terrapin has been a best seller and while you could say it probably had some kind of affect on the sales of other PLRF models, the consumer base is quite different.

I spoke with a Vectronix tech 3 months ago. We discussed the absence of compass and inclinometer in the Terrapin and that the current Vectronix Bluetooth models have limited compatibility—notably incompatible with Kestrel Bluetooth models. They are working on improving compatibility, but the 6-12 month time frame was not encouraging.

I asked euro optics when they were going to get more in and they told me that they had been discontinued.
not sure how you got that. i recieved an email from euro optics today saying they are back ordered and expect them in soon. No word about discontinued and i also spoke to another dealer, they are getting more in soon too.
