Is there a software program that predicts pressure

Howdy All,

Is there a software program that, when the powder type, bullet weight/BC and charge weight is entered, will predict the loads's pressure and the bullet's velocity? I know there are programs like Patagonia or ExBal, but from what I've seen, neither one predicts internal information.

Thanks.

Re: Is there a software program that predicts pressure

Thanks guys. Just ordered it. Man, does it look complicated. I looked at the demo and need to ask, have you guys taken the time to correctly fill in all of the different variable fields? For instance, I think one of them had something to do with case capacity. CASE CAPACITY? I mean I know what it is, but I don't know how to determine it.

Re: Is there a software program that predicts pressure

You'll get default values for capcity. oal, etc. You can edit as you wish.

I read the manual a bit, but really it's fairly intuitive to learn. Some of the drop down menus you need to go through item by item and see what they're for. That's what I did anyway. I probably only use 25% of all the capabilities.

Re: Is there a software program that predicts pressure

Case capacity in grains is measured by filling a case with water...difference in weight filled vs unfilled is your capacity.

It's pretty consistent if you stick with the same manufacturer and production lot. Even different lots are normally pretty close in capacity.

The capacity can vary greatly between manufacturers.
