....optically clear (little or no distortion or blurring or fuzzyness) shooting/safety glasses. preferably able to wear over eyeglasses, or not, clear lens - and AFFORDABLE????? If so, what brand and get them where?

Oakley makes nice stuff and they offer it with prescription lens. Also they offer nice discounts for government employees.

I have had Oakley scripted shooting glasses in the past and they were very good. I swicthed over a few years back to Rudy Project shooting array because I got an incredible deal on a set of frames, prescription lens inserts and several different lenses. They are excellent and I use them for shooting in all conditions. I don't think they make the model that I am using any longer, but they have 2 or 3 different models of shooting glasses with lens kits, etc. They are all very clear and extremely high quality products that will take a tremendous amount of use/abuse over the years. The other nice thing about the RP glasses is that they use prescription inserts instead of the complete lenses or arrays like the Oakleys. When your script changes, just have new inserts made that you can use with the different color/tint lens you already own so that you don't end up spending a fortune on a complete set of replacements.
