Is there any way of knowing if I'll like a chassis before I swap out my stock..?

I am not trying to get into the why one is better than the other, I have read up on that already. I am just wondering if there is any way to know that I'll like one over the other without actually shooting one. Unless someone has an XLR or Mcree in the SW Arkansas area they'd be willing to let me try out. Only one I have ever felt was the AICS and Drake Associates, didn't much care for the thumb hole in the AICS and the other was freaking heavy! I am looking more at the Mcree AR folding buttstock system for my Savage rifle.

I currently have a Manners T3 that I am contemplating selling or trading for this chassis system. I haven't even gotten a chance to shoot behind the Manners yet. I like the feel of it up to my shoulder but that isn't saying just a whole lot. I like not having to buy and install a separate DBM for the Manners. The gun will be used for hunting and long range steel mostly. I know it's kind of a silly question, but I don't really know where else to look. Thanks guys!

Ben
