Found a late 1987 mfg colt commander 1911 for $450. Guy says it's %100 original parts but has recently been reblued by a smith. He says all the markings on the slide are worn off due to rebluing, but the serieal number is still there and I checked to make sure it's a colt number. Unknown round count, but is still fully operational and shoots great acording to him. Gun looks and feels fine, but Im still not sure about it.

Would you buy it or do I have good reason to be skeptical?

Thanks for any advise,
Sean

id buy it at that price as long as it functions. WOW, THATS A LOW PRICE...lol. it wont be a "showpiece probably but its good to have a "beater" that didnt cost much.

Well I'm also looking at filling it up with Wilson combat and les baer parts. So I think it should be ok to get it. I'm just nervous about buying a piece of junk.
