Because my rifle is affected by the Remington trigger recall they sent me a 40% off coupon to use on their website. I was wondering if this stock is a HS Precision that comes standard on the Sendero? Is there any way to tell? The pictures just show the exterior of the stock, not the bedding area. I had been looking at some Bell and Carlson stocks as well as a Manners, but considering the price for this stock would it be just as good as the others? Thanks for your help.

Remington 700 L/A Sendero Synthetic Stock Assembly, Black/Grey, Palm Swell (F249063) : Rifle Stocks

That appears to be the HS Precision stock used on the current Sendero. You can see the bedding block in the middle picture. That's a good price too.

RCA: what did you do to get the coupon? Did you have to send them your gun, barreled action, or trigger? Did you return your gun? Or did they give you the coupon for the inconvenience....ya right!
I'm interested in the details of your coupon.

Remington Recall

Elite,

I received the coupon when I checked my serial number to see if it was affected by the recall. This is what Remington said.

"Your rifle is subject to the recall. Remington will send you pre-paid shipping tags, boxes and written instructions. Remington will cover all related shipping, inspection, and specialty cleaning charges. Please do not return your rifle to Remington before receiving the shipping tags, as the shipping tags will be marked to expedite delivery of your rifle to the specific Remington facility dedicated to this recall program.
We apologize for this inconvenience. We know we disappointed you and this doesn’t make up for that; but we’d like to offer you a 40% discount to ShopRemingtonCountry.com and/or Remington1816.com."

Yes, Remington I am disappointed and that has left me in a quandary. Here is the problem. It's a basic 700 7mm Rem Mag that I purchased to use for hunting. I'm not heavily invested in the gun money wise and I have only shot 20 rounds or so through it because the trigger sucks. I've thought about selling the whole rifle and starting a build on a Stiller Action, but that would leave me without a rifle as I would need to save some money to be able to finish the project. I don't really know if I want to send it in though, because who knows how long it'll be gone and I was planning on replacing the trigger anyway if I kept it. The only bright side so far is the opportunity to save 40% on a decent stock!
