Rifle Scopes Is this enough for my rifle?

Looking to pick up a 6CM Ruger precision, and I have a Burris xtr ii 3-15 sitting on the shelf, wondering if I should go with more magnification for a caliber like this.
My gut says it’s fine. It’ll be for steel 400-1000

15x isn't enough for precision shooting at 700+ yards, if I'm shooting prone at tiny targets. Positional shooting at larger targets, it's probably fine. Depends on what you want to do.

If you already have the scope then just use it, only through use will you work out what features you like and need and how much magnification you really need.

I'd say you will ultimately want more magnification.

All jokes aside, if you already have it use it. You can always upgrade should you find it wanting.

I'm not a fan of the XTRII glass but the turrets and tracking are great. Use it and figure out if you'd like something better.
