My daughter's in-laws live on the Isle of Man and she has been twice and said there is nothing in the world like sitting in the front yard and a super bike goes by at nearly 200 MPH. She said I can stay with them when ever i can make it to the island. Hoping for 2021 if things work out.

There is a guy on another forum I frequent who does some road racing though I don't know if he has actually entered the IOM TT before. I know he has done some races in Malaysia. I know that he has been to view the event a few times and says there is nothing else like it.

Agreed. I hear accommodations are “challenging”. Would love to go though.

Hi,

I hope you get to make it in 2021!!
Logistic wise attending the event seems fairly complicated to plan (aka expensive) since the weather plays such a huge part of the race schedule.
It seems you would almost have to plan to be on the Island for 3 weeks, just in case a couple days get rained out and pushed back.

I am really starting to like the sidecar class.

his wife hates when he takes on of my nieces or nephews for a ride

i have nostalgia for the 90's when i first started watching and there were so many different types of bikes (like original MMA), now they are very similar in comparison.

but to see the performance of the equipment is awesome

I was watching when the coarse went red and the they ended the race. I think it's when the above happened.

The onboard video is insane! The penalty for any mistake is dire.

The Isle of Mann TT is one of the motor racing events I would really enjoy attending. Another one is the Pike's Peak Hill Climb. Unlimited Hydroplane, Lemans road racing or off shore motor racing also interest me. Just watching people drive around an oval track doesn't interest me.
