I have a ex Israeli IDF scope and mount I was in the process of a DMR build, found a Mcmillan stock but scope and mount dont match set up. thinking about trading the stock or selling and getting a sage and leupold...aaargh..dont know what to do

Re: ISRAELI sniper scope and mount,to keep or not

is it called a ''Nimrod'' ?very nice scope it was used on the Galil sniper rifle (also known in IDF as GALATZ) is, basically, an improved Galil assault rifle
- fixed power 6X telescopic sights (quick-detachable mount is fixed on the left side of the receiver). Iron sights are kept in place for backup purposes.

Re: ISRAELI sniper scope and mount,to keep or not

You should be able to get decent money for the Nimrod scope, especially from those that know what they are. It might take a while but will sell to the miltary collectors. I'd get a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22 scope for your DMR.

Don't know what they sell for today. I haven't seen one for sale in years. Last one I saw I think the price was in th 2-3 hundred dollar range with no mount. But that was at least 6-7 years ago.

How did you get it???
Do a search for it, and maybe a collector has put out a feeler.
Sounds like it has historic value, and would look awesome on its original stock and weapon.

I had a couple people IM me and said sell 1t for 1k..collectors ask around 1200..I might trade on a sage stock...think thats what I want to go with...I have a real deal Mcmillan DMR stock I think Ill trade or sell

I don't think that's a kahles, it's something else (I think they are called photonic, if you look around the internet enough you'll find they were made in cooperation with Kahles but they aren't interchangeable). I have one in my garage, I bought it off ebay for 50$. It worked for awhile until little bits of debris started bouncing around inside it. The little yellow circle thingy is a radiation symbol because they had tritium illumination, it's partially colored in because when they are/were imported they wanted to hide the fact that they once had radioactive material in them.

So what's your point? anyone know were there is a Israeli mount?, been searching for one for my early IMI Galil . to rooster2/16 sounds like your going to help me find a mount, your a nice guy ,I didn't know if the guy still had it, people talk about selling items and end up holding on to them.
