Issue with Mag release...

I have a Kaiser Works KR-7 that has been having sporadic issues with mag release. When ejecting a magazine the left side of the rifle, where the mechanism protrudes out, it is getting caught on the outside of the rifle. As i depress the bullet button the mechanism on the far side gets caught to where the next mag is not being seated.

I'll try to throw up some pics, but not sure what to do. Tried calling KaiserWorks but they are next to impossible to reach.

Thanks

Re: Issue with Mag release...

You just need to tighten up the mag release. Use a punch or similar tool to depress the button until the left side clears the receiver. Then, tighten it up a full turn clockwise. If that doesn't fix it, take it another full turn until it does. Make sure it will still function properly and roll on.

Thanks for the help, just tried it and its done. All fixed and good to go

Good to hear. It really is a simple fix and usually something that only a single spin is required to tighten it up. I've seen some shooters intentionally set theirs light so it requires only a tap to eject the magazine, but it usually causes more problems than it's worth as you discovered.

By the way, as that is a rifle you don't hear about very often, how about a range report? They sound and look really nice. Especially if you have the carbon fiber barrel version.
