I've been running ARC mags and have been pretty happy with them overall. My issue is that with my newest bottom metal (Hawkins), the mag won't fully seat and is very difficult to remove. I had a similar issue when I first started running them, but it wasn't as bad (presumably because the KMW dbm I was using was a bit more worn in). Anyone else have this issue or recommendations? I'm torn between shaving a little bit off the latch on my dbm or doing so on the catch on the mag itself.

For reference, Accurate and Magpul mags seat fine in both.

Try removing the mag latch and removing about 0.015" from the tip.

I cannot speak for the Hawkins people but most DBMs are going to be modeled with all dimensions to run with Accuracy International magazines.

The KMW was likely different not because of being worn in, but because it was a totally separate CAD development using different sources for dimensions and clearances compared to Hawkins or anybody else not to mention different CNC machining centers and possibly even different specs on the hard coat anodizing.

Lots of variables in play especially when magazines other than Acc Intl. are used. Remember that no matter what brand mags you are using, almost all are trying to substitute for A.I. on A.I. dimensions/design. Start throwing in different DBM hardware makers and the result is no one fix may work for all. Possibly contact Hawkins or your builder for the best coarse of action.
