I fly a lot more than I would like and I have been very fortunate with my dealings with the TSA. Be prompt, be courteous, and have a ready smile. It doesn't hurt to have a sense of humor either. There are lots of cattle being moved from one stockyard to another and no one is anyone important than any other. The fliers that have the most problems are the ones that forget this last part.

The TSA agent is an idiot if s/he thinks that looks like a grenade- beyond a vague impression. But, I bet the country music promoter and frequent flier didnt help her cause any during the incident.
