Any day one of the 2010 season predictions?

How about a repeat?

Re: It starts again tonight.....

I predict the Cowboys will start out 0 and 9.

Tony Romo will be so distraught he will quit football to fulfill his inner passion.

He will undergo a sex change operation and marry Flavor Flav.

I will revisit this "time capsule thread" at the end of the season and reward the individual who makes the correct pontification. Nothing of great value, just 'talk sh!t' rights. .... or maybe one of 41's dream catchers.

I'm a lock to win the contest with my prediction. I have inside sources.

Re: It starts again tonight.....

The Saint will go back to the Aints this season, last year there schedule was easy, this season things will be different for them.

Re: It starts again tonight.....

Great stirring of the pot, Cobra. Easy schedule? Philly, the Giants, Carolina? The Saints went 10-0 and still no praise. The real test was supposed to be the Pats. All we heard was the the run was over... But they proved their worth. Alas, arguing the validity of a Superbowl Championship Team is for sports talk show hosts.

I hope all enjoy the game.

And yet even a dog squeeze Bucs team will scare the pee pee out of the Saints at least once this season. May be what keeps the Bucs from going 0-16...

Nice review 41!

Re: It starts again tonight.....

Hopefully the Broncos will win, just so their fans won't beat their wives.

Hopefully Detroit will win so that they can riot and burn down the rest of that horrible city.

Maybe the Raiders will win and use the money to expunge felony convictions off their fan's records.

I dunno, I'm pretty optimistic about this season!!!

Re: It starts again tonight.....

GO SAINTS!

My cell phone which rarely rings except when the wife needs me to bring something home after work was non stop with sh!t talk from friends about the Queens. The Purple seem to always have a good start on the year before failing miserably but with Favre's old agedness, Prissy Harvin's migraines, and purple jesus's butter fingers, they will not have a good run this year, and I for one welcome that.

Sincerely,
Bitter Cheese Person

You will never let me live down that late season loss to the Bucs last year, will you QQ?

Nothing slips past you GuardDog. You know Paula Dean or Barefoot Contessa are more my size/style.

Re: It starts again tonight.....

Arthur Bryant came to me in a dream. He was arm in arm with a pig that had an apple in it's mouth and was wearing a skirt. A.B. told me his secret BBQ sauce recipe and that the Chiefs would win the Superbowl. Then the pig began to writhe on my leg and I woke up. I forgot Arthur bryant's secret BBQ sauce recipe. But woke up with a chubby and the belief that this was Kansas City's year. How could I be wrong?

Re: It starts again tonight.....

Forty one with an excellent post. I like what he says with the exception of Tebow. He's a great kid and a role model off the field but he's not the demi-god others want him to be and the first time he scrambles and gets the shit knocked out of him by a real defensive lineman who is just as fast and outweighs him by 50lbs, he'll wish he was still back in the swamp; and the owner's and coaches assholes will pucker by a factor of 10. Then the effectiveness of his game will be reduced substantially. The NFL is a throwing game and he cannot pass well

Another side note is Coughlin, I respect him as a vet but my personal experience with him was not stellar and I know from first hand experience he is not (or was not in Jacksonville) respected by the players.

For my New Orleans friends, ride the wave while you can. The NFL=parody and the domination of franchises is brief at best. Being the closest NFL team to my neck of the woods exposes me to more fair weather Saints fans that I care to be around but I do feel sorry for Saints fans as their championship drought was brutal and hence do not get to upset at their enthusiasm.

My teams are long gone and I don't follow the NFL too much. There are many things about it I do not care for anymore but football is in the blood and therefore I do find myself with a cold beverage sitting in my chair on a Sunday afternoon watching men who wish they could be, and should be, playing rugby.

Sounds like something I would say. However, even with the sale of the franchise would not generate enough income to accomplish that goal. a Raider game is like walking the yard at Pelican Bay State Penitentiary.

The Chargers will ckoke to whomever they meet in the playoffs

LOL- you crack me up queequeg.

Not me though, things wouldn't need to get that drastic. I simply need to be overtaken by the sudden impulse to walk down the street in my raincoat.... (black socks n wingtips optional)

The so called moral compass of the folks that dredge this stuff from the depths of their depraved minds in order to further fleece the idiots has no North on it.

DVR and alone time. That's all you need.

Re: It starts again tonight.....

I was impressed with the Falcons and disappointed in the home team. The Saints kicker should be run outta town. Too much hair gel and not enough accuracy. Sir Q, we should have a couple interesting games in weeks 6 &17. Friendly gentleman's wager, perhaps?

Re: It starts again tonight.....

Who you callin a gentleman? I wear a tool belt for a living!

I'll only take it with points as I expect the Bucs to be owned by both the Saints and the Falcons! The Steelers game today was....unpleasant...

Our home team has severe weaknesses.

Coach Raheem is beginning to grow on me though so who really knows!

But I can see having some fun with it!

Take care GuardDog and don't despair, it's still way early yet!

Re: It starts again tonight.....

qq I'm not OK, after yesterdays performance against Phoenix, I'm kinda thinkin 427 Cobra's dig earlier on this thread may come true!!!

Pretty embarrasing!!

GuardDog,

You OK man? </div></div>

Wow, that game yesterday was awful. I'm still cheering for the home team and not breaking out the paper bags, yet. I can't figure out what happened to Brees. He's just not leading the charge the same as he was last season.

Queequeg,
I'm afraid that it's gonna be ugly this week against the Bucs. I'll be hoping for the best and expecting the worst.

Re: It starts again tonight.....

Mind you fellas, I aint braggin!

I don't know what the hell is going on with the Bucs. They've already won more games than I thought they would all year!

Bucs Usually play the Saints competitively but the first game last November, was a brutal slaughter 38-7 Saints!!! Then three weeks later the Bucs humiliated them! So much so that some seemed to lose faith in their Saints...

Who knows what will happen this week? If any of you are planning on coming to the game, I'm not one of those people insulted by the offer of free tickets!

Re: It starts again tonight.....

No Reggie, no Porter, no Harper, no Thomas & no Randall. Gonna be a long day.

I'll counter your prognostication with a last second win on a (freshly hair gelled) Hartley, squeaked barely inside the upright, fieldgoal.

Saints 24, Bucs 21

Re: It starts again tonight.....

qq last year I'd have argued with ya, this year with all the injuries we have who knows what's gonna happen.

Right on historically the Bucs have always played the Saints well. We'll see what happens Sunday!!

We ain't hit on all cylinders yet this year. I think it will be a good game for sure!

Re: It starts again tonight.....

qq, there was some bright spots, the Bucs young QB handles himself very well!! I think he will be one to recon with in the future!!

Truth is this is the first game I thought the Saints actually played well in. The Bucs caught the Bayou Boys and Brees on a good day!!

Re: It starts again tonight.....

1st round fired:

A certain door man by the bay & I have bragging rights invested in today's NFC battle in New Orleans. Oh, I hope that the dreaded Bucs succumb to the home field advantage held by the Saints.

QQ, I wish you the best, but I hope your team folds like a three-five off suit.....
