<span style="font-weight: bold">Failed bomb attempts kill 11 militants in Somalia</span>

(CNN) -- Two failed bomb attempts by the Somali Islamist group Al-Shabaab killed 11 militants around Mogadishu, Somalia's transitional government said Saturday.

In the first incident, militants were working on a car bomb in a house near Shirkole, north of the capital, when the device detonated, killing 10, the government said in a news release Saturday.

Another Al-Shabaab member was killed while planting a roadside bomb on Mogadishu's Ansaloti bridge, according to the release. Authorities arrested two other individuals suspected of guarding the militant who died.

"This is clear evidence that Al-Shabaab are planning death and destruction during this holiest of months, Ramadan," Interior Minister Abdikadir Ali Omar said. "Only luck has prevented the deaths of many innocent citizens of Mogadishu."

This month, militants with Al-Shabaab -- an al Qaeda-tied group battling Somalia's U.N.-backed transitional government -- had vowed to speed up fighting during Ramadan, a month of sunrise to sunset fasting for Muslims.

News Story:

Bombers to receive Medal of Honor.

Saturday August 21st 2010, a groups of innocent holy freedom fighters were killed while attempting to carry out a man-made disaster. Later today, it was announced that the eleven innocent freedom fighters are to be given the Medal of Honor for their heroism.


Obviously a BS story but I'm sure there are those among us (not on this forum) who feel this way...

No virgins for them fuckers. I got to see two Insurgents after they blew themselves up in Iraq trying to place an IED. Funny thing was one guy lived for about week after, not so funny two guys in a different Squad had to take him to the hospital to get treated. Talk about a WTF moment. Kept the wild dogs feed good for a couple a nights.

I don't think that all Muslims are the same, and I don't get off on beating people up about whatever it is that they call God, but I've got nothing at all against the idea of bomb makers taking a shortcut to their paradise together, either.

"MIR ALI: Suspected US missiles fired from an unmanned drone killed six militants Saturday in a Pakistani tribal region near the Afghan border, officials said.

Missiles struck two vehicles in Anghar Kala village near Miram Shah in North Waziristan – the second such attack since massive floods hit Pakistan in late July. The officials said some of the dead militants may be foreigners."

The drone pictured in the above story is actually an Israeli built Heron. Likely flown by the Aussies in Afghanistan. But what the hell they all seem to work for the same purpose.

There are no innocents in Mogadishu, think we found that out in the 90's.
