I figure you gents run into this from time to time. I have a guy who wants to buy my TRG chassis. I am in the US and he is in Australia. Before I shipped it, I just wanted to make sure it didn't violate ITAR restrictions.

Thanks in advance!

Yes it does.

Chassis are on the ITAR list. Also on the Australian Customs restricted items list. If its on the ITAR list you require an export permit. Most US companies won't do this as its costs them between $400-$500 USD (from last time I did it).

The other way to ship around this is in parts. If it's not complete, it's not a chassis is it ;)

Well, good news. The buyer is also buying parts from a supplier here with an export permit, I will ship it to them and they will handle the export.

Thanks!
