The recoil system is lacking on that thing. You may want to send it off to Red Jacket and have their "game changer" option installed.
Had a fellow officer when I worked for APD that built a little brass cannon. We had home cars (patrol cars) and were encouraged to drive them about our daily activities.
So the guy takes his cannon to the range, parks his car behind the firing line, sets the cannon on the bench and touches it off. Cannon worked but like the OP's cannon, the recoil sent it flying...............right through the windshield of the police car.
I guess one needs muzzle brakes on those puppies.

My grandfather was a master tool and die maker between 1920-1960. His hobby was building miniatures of live steam engines, one complete coal fired locomotive from scratch, and old cannons, deck guns complete with the carriages. Although I never got one my brother ended up with a bronze cannon that shoots three eighth's inch patched ball bearings or shot. Most of his stuff ended up in museums around Vancouver B.C., Canada. The locomotive took years to make, was about 3 feet long, and would pull 10 people on a track.
The cannons were really cool, loud, and as a little kid, of course the black powder cannons were what I liked most.

You should use copper jacketed .223 rounds to reduce leading and increase your BC.

Back in the 1950s my Mother had one that looked exactly like that, but was somewhat bigger. It sat on our coffee table forever when I was a kid. If I had only known...
Well that would be me, I would let it sit a few minutes just to be sure.
I actually have a few .223 tracer rounds that I'm going to pull and see If they make a cool video.
