I recently sold one one of my GA Precision Crusaders in .308 in order to get a budget (but really nice) build done. I had a McMillan A5 but in order to save a little $ sold it and went with a 1.5 AICS in order to save on bottom metal. Plus Ive shot a few AIAW's and loved the feel of the chassis. A very good friend of mine gave me a Bartlein #9 29" blank for doing a little load development for him. I ordered a stiller Tac 30 with a Jewell hvr. Also my best friends dad is a gun smith and a damn good one. I gave his grandson a 700 VTR .308 to help him out a little bit as they were having a few financial issues. Well that being said he had the rig done in 2 days for 300$!! So with the sale of the GAP, I built this gun and was able to pocket a considerable amount left over. VERY HAPPY ABOUT THAT.
I took it out to his range and shot a few and cleaned... Usual break in stuff. Blue was wearing off real fast so I started shooting groups..... :)

I learned a valuable lesson.... Generosity with the right people comes full circle

Very nice Aimsmall. I too believe that what goes around, comes around, either good or bad. Enjoy the benefits of your generosity.

Appreciate it mrbro. I've been too busy to really play with it too much but this weekend I'm going to stretch it out to 900 yards. I'll post how it shoots. Pretty pumped up about this one!!

Very nice. How fast are you running the juggernauts? I have been thinking about going to them...

Not really sure. I was running 46.5 grains of power pro at 2.825". If I had to guess, 2775ish. That's based on my GA P with a 22" bartlein that was running them at 2660 to 2675. This barrel is 28" so it could have been faster than 2775. Imh that I was getting a little over pressure (nothing serious) so I would not start there if your thinking about trying this load. I only loaded up a few and I really haven't had time to measure chamber dimensions. I had no clue he'd be done so fast! So I didn't have much time to load before having to go out of town for the 4th. But when I get home later ... IT'S ON!
