I'm making a raspberry cordial, cherry cordial, and cherry rum bounce. Yes it sounds foofoo, but at this point I haven't worked up to beer brewing (i figured a mill and lathe were higher on my wish list, so i bought them first).
Made ice-cream last night, and about the only thing I have to do today that's different is make/steep some more chile-oil. Unrelated, but there it is. Probably give it another shot searching for a good sourdough pizza dough.
Our range is closed till Wednesday, so accomplishing other tasks.
still too early to start fermenting yet this year, but just recently finished last years final jug of applejack. local apple farm has a really good apple for making this stuff (very high sugar content) and the finished product is pretty easy to make when you have unpasteurized cider at your disposal
Don't know about Sunday, but I spent Sat. boiling a Winchester Model 12 for 4 coats of rust bluing. Thank god it was cloudy, and cooler. 95 predicted for today. It's cooler in Miami!
I would caution your hypothetical making of "applejack" (or at least putting out that info on the internet). I know that the purposeful intent to concentrate a beer or wine alcohol is bad mojo with the ATF. Now if you simply forgot your hard cider outside, and it froze on accident, And you threw the round "apple jack" of frozen water away, but was able to manage to save your hard cider from loss.......that's probably a different story....just saying.
