I had to ask because i am uderly confused and cant think anymore. I have read so many different threads and forums and cant come up with a definitive answer.

First off i hate how every company manufacturing rings can make up what they want to call their "height". Low for one company could be the same at high or medium high from another. Its dumb their is not some kind of uniformity across the board.

On to my question. So i finally picked up my Tikka T3x CTR in 6.5 today. Also just ordered my scope from Midway. I went with the one off ebr-2d reticle in the Vortex PST 3-15x44mm. I really like how they finally put the numbers on the outside so your not holding on mil numbers. So after hours of searching for the life of me a cant figure out what height rings to get. I think i have settled on the Seekins Precision Rings unless y'all think otherwise? They have them available in many different heights too i just have no idea what ones to get.

Heights as listed below.
0.82" Low
0.87" Medium
0.92" Medium High
0.97" High
1.26" Extra High

Would it make a big difference with a 20moa rail too?

Thanks for all the help!

I have a 6.5 Creedmoor ctr with a mountain tactical 20 moa rail and a 6-24x50 vortex viper pst, my rings are . 875" from the top of the base to ring centerline. This leaves about 3/16" between the objective end of the scope and the barrel. With a 44mm objective you will be fine with the lowest, .820", rings.

I would go with .87" height to give some room for caps and room in case you upgrade the scope in the future. It's not overly high.

definitely go with the regular medium, the vortex defender caps that you may use are kinda thick being made of rubber. they'll need a bit of space. have the 5-25 PST on my tikka with 20moa rail and seekins medium fit just right, not too high, not too low

Low .82" rings On a 20MOA EGW base with LHRSi 4.5-18x44
