Gunsmithing J-lock

Go easy on me. I'm new to the LR shooting world. Just bought a 5R with a J-lock. I've done some research and found that it is unwanted. I'm wondering why that is? I've read that people have shot better groups with it removed.

The top one is Jlock, the bottom one non. Which spring do you think will provide a more reliable and consistent trigger pull and firing pin strike?

nice photo to represent a solid point. With that in mind I have an old j-lock rifle. What is the step by step to remove it since i never use it.

Step one,
Buy a new replacment assembly.
Step two,
Unscrew the old one.
Step three,
Screw in the new one.

Brownells or Midway has them....advise from Randy of RD Precision suggests to replace with Remington parts.

Midwayusa.com has factory Remington and Callahn assemblies.

I've had good luck with Gre-Tan Rifles replacements and have used Callahan as well.
