Two good friends have the iron sighted version, and have nothing but glowing feelings about them. Both have the 4 groove match barreled versions though.

Can't say about the 03 but a have a James River Garand and it's top notch!

Just so you know I beleive they are reclaimed demilled rifles. If this bothers you , you should ask before purchasing

Yea i am aware of that. Looking for a shooter not a collector
